Taken, Bryan Mills

Clive Standen was born on a British Army base in Holywood, Northern Ireland, but grew up in Leicestershire, England. His first experience of stunts, horse riding and sword fighting was at age twelve when he got his first job working in a professional stunt team in Nottingham. At the age of fifteen he was a member of both the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Music Theatre performing in productions at many well known venues. Away from acting, in his late teens he was a former international Muay Thai boxer and later Fencing gold medalist.

Clive is well known for the roles of Gawain, a battle-hardened warrior and series regular in the Starz TV series "Camelot", and Archer, the swashbuckling brother of Robin Hood in the BBC TV series "Robin Hood". The latter role which brought him much critical acclaim, with many of the UK press comparing his charming, but edgy performance and seemingly effortless sword fighting skill to Errol Flynn. It was much speculated at the end of the 3rd season that after his brother's death, Archer would pick up the mantle of Robin Hood and become the show's new hero. Clive is also known for a previous recurring role as Private Harris, a UNIT soldier in "Doctor Who". He played a supporting role as Charlie Brown in the mainstream Bollywood film "Namastey London", starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

More recently Clive joined the History Channel's "Vikings" in the role of Rollo, the brother and sometimes rival, sometimes ally, of Ragnar Lothbrok. In 2016, he was cast as the young Bryan Mills in "Taken", the TV series based on the enormously popular Liam Neeson movie trilogy. "Taken" has recently begun airing in the US.

In addition to his screen roles, Clive has done voice overs for video games such as "Aliens vs. Predator" and "Inversion". In his personal time, he is a spokesman for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
